"I voted for Reagan and didn't vote republican again until Trump."

So you had a momentary lapse into sanity but let's just think about what your vote for Reagan actually accomplished. His tax cuts for the rich became the basis for tax policy for every subsequent Republican President after him; including Trump. Clinton became the Clean-up crew for subsequent Democratic President; Paying down deficits Republicans had intentionally run up to justify drastic cuts to things like Medicaid and food assistance. Then Democrats return to power to raise taxes and balance the budget while restoring the parts of the "safety net" destroyed by Republicans. It happens over and over. Remember Geotge W. Bush's campaign when he talked about budget surplus as money owed to high income people which he claimed had been paying more than their share of taxes to justify his tax cuts for the rich. Then, along with too much deregulation of banks; allowing variable interest rate mortgages, which created the housing bubble and the subsequent collapse of the economy in 2007-08. Interesting that Trump has just recently said he planned to lower regulations on the banks again, after Obama increased regulations to insure their solvency which wasn't there in 2007-o8 and did result in bank failures which caused panic in the Bush adninistration and nearly an economic catastrophe to rival the great Republican Depression of 1929.
Sorry for the long post but this war about taxes is really a class war and if Republicans don't look back to 2007-08 and recognize that Trump is going to lead us right back there then we will all be paying for thr Trump Presidency long after he is out of office; as was the case following George W. Bush's foolishness both financially and with his stupid and unnecessary
wars which continued to cost American lives long after he left office!
