He's busy "liberating" the Strait of Hormuz, as we speak.

Ethnonationalism rocket-fueled by religious zealotry - e.g., Samuel 15:3 : "Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey"- is a heady, nasty, genocidal brew. The result? "We have met the enemy and he is us," as Pogo sagely observed.

Article 5 of the 1949 North Atlantic Treaty specifically focuses on "an armed attack against one or more of them [the parties] in Europe or North America."
Like NATO did after 9/11.
But this?
Uh ... no.
Maybe the Israeli Navy can hop on over and play? But nicer than with the USS Liberty (en.wikipedia.org), please.

Personally, Jeffy, I find Trump's flag-grinding even more offensive than Pickled Pete keeping one in his --- pocket as a nose blower.
But, hey, that's the MAGA way.

Our son is a firefighter, a 42-year-old, father of four, and if you mention the Jaws of Life to him his eyes light up like a kid's at Christmas. Those firefighter guys and gals love ripping themselves up some vehicles.

This is Trump's War. Which he lost on Day 1 by conspicuously failing to explain why this was necessary. He still hasn't been able to do that, which, really, is the least we should expect from a president. Meanwhile, the GOP's Congressional Capon Caucus completely reneges on its sworn duty. Will Barrroooon be enlisting along with your sons and daughters? Thanks, MAGAts.

Shocking that a proven thief, liar, convicted felon and adjudicated sexual abuser would behave in any way untoward.

Doubtless the Chinese are pinching themselves, scarcely able to believe their great and good fortune in being presented with an actual bumbling idiot as an adversary. The Chinese will be on hand, prepared, over prepared, ready to go while Old Yeller stumbles around, searching for a verbal superlative beyond "very."

Favored regime personnel will not be inconvenienced by living among the people. They will isolate, sequestered in heavily guarded compounds like in ... Oh, ask them: it's their baby.

For the big tankers, the Strait of Hormuz offers a pair of two-mile-wide navigable channels separated by a two-mile-wide buffer zone.
A properly functioning NSC would have flagged this fact early on in the - I hesitate to use the term - decision making process leading to war. Because if you can't solve that problem, you have a big problem.
