To me, when Jesus says "you must come through me", he means HIS IDEAL, that of putting GOD first, everyone else tied for second, and NO ONE third.

The original translation of this great myth was: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me"
I understood this to mean that you had to follow the same Path as Jesus. So you would pass by Jesus on the way to the Father. (The Father being the Divine spirit that we all apparently come from. And that we will all apparently return to.)
But the lesson to me was that there are many paths in Life to get to the final Path to the Divine. But eventually you will be passing Jesus on the way. And many many others traveling the same path, too.
Changing the translation changes the whole meaning. This is one of the major problems with the Bible and why it is unreliable. Translation/Transcription errors.
So ... just to be clear ... we are NOT shooting up cases of Budweiser this year?
