"Since the State of the Union address is next Tuesday, let's get rid of the State of the Union address before Tuesday. And here's why. Nothing has misled the American people to the warped belief that the president can act like a king more than this stupid, boring, performative after-dinner speech from hell where the Sergeant-at-Arms announces the president like he's a king," Maher said.

"There are no racial "myths" that harm blacks."

So sick of MAGA lies and ignorance and promulgation of disinformation.

When you have to lie then you have already lost the argument.

There are tons in racial myths that harm blacks.

Key Harmful Racial Myths:

Medical & Biological Myths:
Higher Pain Tolerance: A prevalent myth among medical providers (and even medical trainees) is that Black patients have thicker skin or less sensitive nerve endings, leading to the underestimation and undertreatment of pain.

Innate Biological Differences: Historical and false notions, such as those suggesting Black people are physically immune to certain diseases or have different physiological "weaknesses" compared to whites, have been used to justify inequities.
Immunity to Disease: Dangerous myths during crises, such as during COVID-19, claimed Black people were immune, which delayed care and increased risk.

Criminality & Behavioral Myths:
The "Violent/Dangerous" Stereotype: Black individuals are frequently wrongly associated with criminality, leading to racial profiling, higher rates of wrongful convictions, and disproportionate use of force by police.

The Myth of "Black-on-Black" Crime: This is used to mischaracterize violence as a specifically Black behavior rather than a direct outcome of systemic socioeconomic issues, lack of resources, and historical marginalization.

Social & Intellectual Stereotypes:
The "Angry" or "Dominant" Trope: Specifically, the "angry Black woman" myth, which frames Black women as aggressive and demanding to discredit them, and the "Sapphire" caricature.
The "Lazy" Stereotype: A lazy caricature (including the "welfare queen" trope) exists in media and social discourse, designed to perpetuate harmful ideas about work ethic, despite contradictory evidence.

Intellectual Inferiority: Persistent, subtle, and overt myths suggest Black people are less intelligent, often used to undermine claims of merit and justify racial gaps in education and hiring.

Structural & Ideological Myths:
The Myth of Meritocracy: The belief that American society is entirely merit-based and that racial inequalities are solely caused by a lack of effort or cultural deficiencies, ignoring systemic racism and "environmental headwinds".

Post-Racialism: The false idea that racism ended with the civil rights movement, which serves to dismiss ongoing racial discrimination.

GFY and your hateful lies and constant denials of reality.
