-"Are you? Really?"
I'm not.
I'd rather see some bullets and blood.

So I see nobody could make an argument that says it's illegal for a federal agent to enforce a law in Minnesota.
It was a cute little game to suggest it's not legal because nobody can produce proof it's legal.
Maybe I'm the only honest person here who will admit I can't prove it either way but that doesn't mean I know what I want to believe is true.

-So, now you are justifying him ramming LE vehicles?
He won't have any insurance coverage for that.
:-)
I'm just full of smartass tonight

-All you're doing is proving you have zero compassion for human beings.
Like the ICE agent who was brutally injured suffering internal bleeding?

-I keep asking for the specific federal law that allows that, Eb.
Because it's illegal otherwise?
Everything is legal except that what is specified as illegal.
Isn't that sort of how it works?
What's the law that allows Twoothy to fly to Detroit and screws Bellringer's wife while he's seeing his dental patients all day?
I can't find that anywhere.

-I've still gotten zero answer as to why some here are expending so much time and energy justifying her murder,
Some people live for a political argument......even if they have to stand on the wrong side of it.
Surely you've noticed that political partisanship can compel folks to defend almost anything.

"care to share with the class the federal law that allows a non-state/federal LEO agency to enforce state laws?"
I can't but doesn't Federal Law enforcement intervene when dispatched by their boss? The guy living in the WH?
You're saying a federal law enforcement officer who is legally and knowingly placed where they are told by their Federal agency boss is prohibited from enforcing a state law?

-I don't want you or anyone else on this site to die. I don't want you or anyone else on this site to suffer any kind of injury or malady.
It pains me to admit this.......but.......neither do I.

"I am looking at random American citzens being asked for their papers (passports?) while gassing up at the station."
Did you move to Minnesota?
Because nobody believes you saw this in Texas.

-You're thin-skinned, bell boi.
I'm gonna stop you right there.
I disagree with anybody who even remotely tries to defend this shooting.
But Bellringer has more skin than 98% of you all put together and this thread is a perfect example of it.

-Skepticism is certainly warranted and CBS will have egg on their faces if this ends up not being true or if it lacks any further corroboration.
I think it's more than skepticism. Nobody believes this is true.
CBS is working from 2 governmental sources so unless CBS is making that up or they are misquoting these sources, I'd say CBS is fine.
The internet is chock full of folks pushing the narrative to justify this shooting.........but 100% of them know it's --------.
It's political. She was an unruly liberal bitch. Nobody but nobody but nobody thinks this officer nor anyone else was in danger.
She was a non compliant bitch causing problems. that's cause for embarrassment, arrest maybe, but it's not a defense for shooting her.
And everybody knows it.

Nobody, including the Trumpers, believe this guy suffered internal bleeding.

Yeah, I can see that.
In my business, we see red flags when our clients hire someone with a bad driving record (one example). That usually indicates a maturity problem but oftentimes our clients are a little desperate to make the hire regardless because they need bodies.
And they almost always regret it. Accidents, mistakes, tardiness, lazy, etc...all come to fruition if the starting point of employment is to ignore the flaws and ask an insurance company with $5 to $10 million at risk to ignore a horrible driver.

It's hard to avoid the reality all organizations face and the challenges that come with it. You can't outrun it very easily.
I've preached this to my clients for a long time.
It's this.....
"You hire your own problems"
Nobody wants to believe that until they reflect on their current problems and their worst hires over the past few years and they conclude that most if not all of those problems were the result of those poor hires.

-People should lose their minds over the government listening to private phone calls without a warrant.
I agree the illegality should be addressed

-So during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict you had no problem locking up Islamists without due process?
Hell, people lost their minds over listening to phone calls without a warrant.

"If company valued at $6B, the founder would owe 150million. Of stock he can't even sell, and if the company fails and doesn't go public, he still owes."
Your argument there is that he's simply not liquid enough to pay the tax?
I would like to think that was debated when drafting this bill but then again....not sure how much realism was allowed during those deliberations.

I would think they made it pretty simple.....if you looked like a ---....you were detained.

-Now the narrative has changed to him not having enough power to implement his policies.
I suppose that explains a lot of dolts who predicted such mayhem as a result of that election.
Pretty normal election drama.
Kind of like the celebrities who promise to leave if the republican on the ticket wins.
....And then make the same promise the next election.....LOL

-Not because they would feel the effect of having 5% less wealth.
True. It's not that the 5% would impact them in any real way.
-So now Newsom is panicking that the hand that feeds him is upset.
panicking? how so? He didn't have anything to do with writing this bill and he's not supporting it.
Does he have his fingerprints on bill somewhere?
Posted by eberly at 2026-01-13 04:11 PM | Reply
-Difference being Mamdani isn't owned by billionaires, Newsom is.
There are more differences than that. Top of the list is what power Mamdani has to affect the billionaires in NYC. Next would be Mamdani isn't a candidate for anything else outside of NYC.
