Overheard at a coffee shop this evening: "If the rule America followed led it to this point, of what use was the rule?"

CHARACTERISTICS OF FASCISM

1. Powerful, often exclusionary, populist nationalism centered on cult of a redemptive, "infallible"
leader who never admits mistakes.
2. Political power derived from questioning reality, endorsing myth and rage, and promoting lies.
3. Fixation with perceived national decline, humiliation, or victimhood.
4. White Replacement "Theory" used to show that democratic ideals of freedom and equality are a threat.
Oppose any initiatives or institutions that are racially, ethnically, or religiously harmonious.
5. Disdain for human rights while seeking purity and cleansing for those they define as part of the nation.
6. Identification of "enemies"/scapegoats as a unifying cause. Imprison and/or murder opposition and minority
group leaders.
7. Supremacy of the military and embrace of paramilitarism in an uneasy, but effective
collaboration with traditional elites. Fascists arm people and justify and glorify violence as "redemptive".
8. Rampant sexism.
9. Control of mass media and undermining "truth".
10. Obsession with national security, crime and punishment, and fostering a sense of the nation under attack.
11. Religion and government are intertwined.
12. Corporate power is protected and labor power is suppressed.
13. Disdain for intellectuals and the arts not aligned with the fascist narrative.
14. Rampant cronyism and corruption. Loyalty to the leader is paramount and often more important than competence.
15. Fraudulent elections and the creation of a de-facto one-party state.
16. Often seeking to expand territory through armed conflict.

AI is a digital-age panopticon.

Trump certainly believes in racial purity or, in other words, white supremacy, but this is secondary to his overarching belief in "Trump purity", which is the idea that the only humans who are truly "pure" are those who have sworn absolute fealty to Trump and to his ideals and decisions alone.

This is very similar to Zionism or, if you will, "Israel purity" which designates those who do not swear absolute fealty to Israel as mortal enemies and worthy of oppression and, if they fight back, extermination.

I'm more concerned about the half century-long alliance of America and Israel because both sides of the aisle support it, not just one.

Who gets credit on the site for first pointing out that MAGA is exactly like LIKUD? MAGA will soon very soon be painting everybody that is against them as Hamas, just like the Zionists have painted everyone who is against their ongoing evils as the same.

It makes it easy to oppress and disappear and torture and kill people by equating them to a catch-all terrorist organization. 20 years ago you were called Al-Qaeda for protesting the Iraqi invasion. Each proceeding administration has perfected the technique.

So if Canada, with a population close to that of California, becomes the 51st state and, taking into consideration it's populace's liberal (and Eurocentric) tendencies, isn't that essentially giving the Democrats 50 more electoral votes?

Nearly every day there's some new escalation in the America-driven efforts to stomp out speech that is critical of Israel. Americans need to understand that the situation has moved far beyond the point where Israel is a threat only to middle eastern lives: it's now threat to all, because American and other western governments who support it are stomping out basic freedoms with increasing aggression in order to silence all criticisms of not just Israel's ongoing abuses, but of its own.

Zionism is a political ideology which upholds the decision by western countries to drop an abusive apartheid ethnostate on top of a pre-existing civilization in historic Palestine and then defend it by any amount of violence and tyranny necessary.

The majority of the people you see defending this evil are non-Jewish westerners with no connection to the Jewish faith, so to equate Zionism solely with Judaism (and vice-versa) is just a casus belli to crack down on righteous dissent and, more broadly, free speech.

To answer your question, in a way: MAGA is the reason. Trump is a destroyer, not a creator. Traditional "creative" artists work in oils or stone or in clay, but Trump is fundamentally a "political iconoclast", so his medium of choice is that he destroys that which has been already created and then declares to his many followers that the value of the rubble pile that remains is much greater than what came before it. And they buy into it. Again and again.

My point of view (religious/Islamic) is that pure political order is inherently immoral/amoral and fundamentally corrupt. Even some pragmatic concern for the prosperity and security of the populace is tainted with the wickedness of certain men like Trump who come to power in largely legitimate (Democratic) ways. Trump also believes this, but his fundamental characteristic is that he (a classic charismatic) is a master at manipulating and embodying many simple-minded people's beliefs that he (and he alone) can reverse that immorality and corruption to restore American political order to a moral and uncorrupted state. A state that was never even there to begin with.

This article is written by a member of the Atlantic Council, whose members (including warmonger Stephen Hadley) have tens of thousands of shares of stock in the defense industry. No conflict of interest there, right?

Western governments' support for Israel is the biggest threat to free speech in our society today. Civil rights are being stomped out throughout the western world to protect Israeli information interests, and speech is being suppressed in support of Israel more aggressively than with any other topic. We're not seeing this level of all-out warfare against free expression on any other frontline"not Russia, not vaccines, not "election security", not on any kind of ideological front. The west's support for Israel is the number one threat to free speech in the west today, and nothing else comes anywhere close.

I predict, due to increased demand, the prices of torches and pitchforks will rise dramatically as 2025 progresses.

What's worse? Republicans being owned by Russia or both Republicans and Democrats being owned by Israel?

Or maybe one sellout feeds directly into the other?
