The end being the establishment of America as a "religious" state; sort of like Israel is a "Jewish" state. What they don't realize is that Trump will do "what ever" it takes to achieve his personal ambitions. And, when those ambitions have been slated, he will move on to something else. If that something else requires that he kick religious zealots to the curb, he will do that too.

I suspect they are having difficulty hiring. The sign on bonuses will help recruitment considerably. It will be full employment for MAGAts. Any MAGAt that wants a job will have a job.

Trump can't turn the military on the American people because of law and their lack of will to do so. But he can unleash an army of MAGAt ICE agents on the American people. And, when the people revolt, he has an excuse to use the military.

If the opportunity ever presents itself again, those monuments should be destroyed.

Considering what's at stake, Dems, where possible, should gerrymander out EVERY republican congressional representative that they can.

I repeat. The masks on the ICE agents aren't to protect them from doxing, attacks, etc. It is so that they can't be identified to be held accountable for their misdeeds. Furthermore, the masks prevents them from being outed as the low lifes that many of them will be i.e. racists, neo Nazis, disgraced cops, etc.

Until judges start holding gov't actions in contempt, nothing's going to change. Force the issue before it becomes SOP for the gov't to disobey court orders. Let the voters see how the government is disobeying court orders.

I guess no judge wants to initiate a constitutional crisis. Get it done and let the politicians line up on the side of Trump or the constitution. That will allow voters to know who the traitors are and they can act accordingly.

Almost. Instead of police, we should have "public safety officers" (PSOs). In addition to policing, they would be trained and serve as fire fighters and EMTs. Hopefully, this would de-emphasize the "us vs them" warrior mentality and emphasize the public service mentality.

Dems need to start an ad/messaging campaign themed "can you afford to be a republican". As the theme implies, ads/messaging would ask people to consider the impact on their lives if government provided services that they depend upon are taken away by republicans.

Doesn't matter. Attorneys from other divisions will be transferred in to replace those that quit. Then the recent transferees will quit only to be replaced by even more attorneys from other divisions; and so on and so on. Pretty soon, the only attorneys that will be pleading cases for the DOJ will be from the law firms that Trump bullied into providing free legal services.

Trump will not be content with lobbyists pleading the cases for poor countries. The leaders of these countries MUST come before Trump and prostrate themselves if they expect to get anything out of Trump.

Let's see: Americans kidnapped and murdered in Israel. Has the State Department issued a travel advisory warning Americans about the dangers of traveling to Israel?

No country, single handedly, can stand against the economic might of the US. However, together, they have a chance. They need to band together and put their response to Trump tariffs on automatic and move on to other, more pressing issues i.e. codify into law that they will impose the exact same tariff rate that the US imposes. After that law has been put into place, break off any further negotiation with the US until a new POTUS is installed.

I am upset that people have lost their lives and property. However, I am not upset that Mother Nature is reclaiming property that should never have been built upon in the first place! The fact that Texas (and the US for that matter) are not willing to continually spend money to shore up properties built in flood plains and other disaster prone areas is a good thing and should be applauded.

That said, government should be obligated to inform developers of the risks of building in a particular area. And, developers should be obligated to inform buyers of those risks whenever a property is being sold. In fact, the risks should be codified in the deed or rental contracts.

Let's stop building in danger zones and expecting government bailouts when disaster strikes.

It's very apparent that Trump's cabinet secretaries are nothing but figureheads. Gabbard and now Hegseth? Why do people allow themselves to be demeaned like this? Proximity to power? They need to resign.
