A poll is kind of an election, and we all know how Trump and his violent gang of insurrectionists feel about free and fair elections.

Ah yes, the rule of law...none are above it in a true democracy, but in a fascist regime like Trump and Hegseth are setting up, the rule of law is less a rule and more an order to harass and hurt the opposition in any way possible.
Goodness knows Trump is vulnerable to that "rule of law" things...influence peddling is against the law, and one figures if Jack Smith were able to investigate his crypto schemes...there would be charges.

In your face white power... demographic trends indicate that by 2045, we white voters will be just another minority in America, and that will not be allowed...They will find a way to make voting in America as irrelevant as it is in Russia.

Ah yes, crypto...the way that money gets laundered...the way that one hides one's assets from the tax man and the divorce lawyer.
If the Dems take back the House, one expects fairly soon a subpoena to get a clue as to Trump's grifting when he was in office. One expects that subpoena not to be successful as the very rich own enough of Congress to forestall all attempts at clarity.
Actually, I figure if Trump ever faces real legal trouble, war will break out and that legal trouble will be hidden away. Problem is, they need someone in Iran, or a group of someones, to attack Americans, like Hamas attacked Jews in Israel.

Trump, pretending that ICE is about immigration, when in reality it is his brownshirt army, willing to intimidate anyone and everyone.
Problem is, along the way, our immigration problems get worse...but Trump's ability to divide us one from another means America is weaker.

I do wonder why Trump hasn't pardoned her by now. Sure, he would take a hit, ballot box wise, but then she could go off and not say anything to anyone ever again, or, I suppose she could tell the truth with no recriminations..oh right, that is why she cannot have a pardon right now.

How much is enough? How corrupted can a person be where they find out they can never return to being part of the whole, of humanity?

I certainly agree with the President of Portugal, who said that Trump is objectively a Russian asset. That being so, little of what Trump says is meaningful other than it is a statement from an enemy of our democracy and our right to protest and to assemble and present our grievances...to the one who does not listen.

At this point, cynics like me look at major moves in crypto and we look for the pump and dump scheme and look for who will profit...

Oregon is a Blue State with two very, very good Senators. When we went vote by mail, it freed up the people to vote, as they got their ballots weeks in advance, could do their research, could mail in their ballots and not have to worry about Election Day child care, or work, or health problems...

I am a veteran and one thing I would tell young people...these days there is no draft, so while one can volunteer for the military to be trained in a career field, if one volunteers for the combat infantry army, one will be risking one's life, alongside the children of other low income parents, to protect the safety of the very rich who will almost never volunteer to risk their lives to defend either America, or Americans.
Think Trump would change his ways and have his relatives risk their necks in combat arms?

White power South African style apartheid saw the right of the minority Whites to rule over the majority Blacks as okay with them, and using violence and ethnic cleansing...equally fine with them. That is what is happening in Israel, what Musk and Trump seem to be working toward in this country,,,certainly the rich live in a different America than the rest of us. All systems are set up to coddle them and to exclude us.

When the Soviet Empire fell, the oligarchs looted the treasury and grabbed pretty much everything that wasn't nailed down...and it sure does seem to me that Trump and his gang are doing the same thing.

Have to hand it to the Trump grifting gang, they first went after the law enforcement people, and then they went after the law makers, so now no one is left to protest Trump's criminal gang. Nixon was shunted out of office by a partisan bunch, no way that can happen now, unless he wants to head for the hills and lets Vance take over the Presidency so he can be pardoned for everything he has ever done, is doing, will ever do.
The last is the gift I imagine his corrupted Supreme Court will give him...even more immunity.

Trump doesn't have to run for 'reelection" so he can be as weird and disruptive as his dementia tells him to be. But down ballot, come the midterms, Republicans, they have to be hoping for Trump to retire, resign, whatever you call it, not be in the news night and day.

And they vote, and their family members vote, and Trump is clearly an out of control fellow human who is not in control of his faculties.

The world does need a friend, and if that person is the Pope...great, and that comes from an atheist.

Fascism can be defined as being cutthroat capitalism with concentration camps. If Trump "wins" another term, those camps will not be far behind. Fascism can also be defined as "the permanent rule of a tiny minority over the great majority using intimidation, violence, and total media gaslighting.
The Post is fascinating, in a dark sense, by being one of the major gaslighting outfits in major media land. As the FDR safety net gets dismantled, one SS check at a time, we will find ourselves blamed for being a bother to the rich and the Bezos, the Musk and the Trump...fascists.

And now comes Bad Bunny and all those comments about Spanish speaking "Americans", from the Trump MAGA gang...I would imagine Trump's election forecasts are going to get even worse.

And I don't even consider Oz the worst of the Trump appointments...this term Trump is going full on "hate America first", day in and day out. Has to be working for Putin and Russia.

These days the fascist Trump isn't even trying to hide the fact that he is pure animalistic fascist, yes, to his core. Problem for the Republican Party is if they are really and truly patriotic and want to oppose him, that most likely would lose them their jobs in Congress. And as Trump has shown, any member of our law enforcement organizations who are diligent and go after Trump or his gang...they and their families are threatened.
Dark times indeed.

Hooray for Poland...maybe they are free of the Trump gang's influence and can really and truly to a complete and thorough investigation. Goodness knows, with Bondi and Kash and the gang, the US is never going to get the truth, the whole truth...nothing but the truth.
