You need to check your sources. The police in both St Louis City and Kansas City are ran by a committee appointed by the governor. Germany was still under Nazi control the last time Springfield elected a Democrat as mayor.

What makes you think they broke the law by coming here? Many of the people being targeted for deportation by the Trump administration entered the country legally only to recently have had Trump revoke asylum programs for them.

It's not just the eastern US. A close friend's toddler came down with HFMD this past week here in St. Louis. It is presumed that she caught it at her daycare where several other children have also been diagnosed in the past week.

Are guard members trained on local and state laws and law enforcement policies? Have they been trained on respecting the civil rights of detainees? Why would anyone think they should be used from law enforcement without such training?

Here in Missouri our murder rate has nearly doubled since the state legislature passed conceal carry despite the measure having failed when it was put to statewide vote.
More guns appears to only have exacerbated the problem because a good guy with a guy is by and large a myth.

O'Neill will be the first person in the 80+ year history to head the CDC who is not a doctor. He has one of those elitist masters degrees in humanities from the University of Chicago (Obama liked that school) with a background working in hedge funds. Aren't those things the right are always crying about?
He has no qualifications that should make one believe he's an appropriate pick for this role, not even if it is only an interim stint. He favors deregulation of the pharmaceutical industry and thinks patients should be free to take pharmaceuticals at their own risk. Wants to leave determining efficacy up to the free market. Putting it another way, he's an advocate for snake oil salesmen.
