Yeah, seems that way.

I have and use a "reduced-flow" showerhead.

Since I switched to that a couple three decades ago, my showers have not been any longer than they had been.

But then again, I do not possess the enormous area of skin that Pres Trump possesses.

Maybe, instead of blaming reduced-flow showerheads, Pres Trump could, instead, shed a few dozen pounds and reduce the area of skin he needs the shower to cleanse?

They paid the same, so as a practical matter the one in San Diego paid twice as much. ...

For me, the decision I faced was less monetary and more physical toll.

There is no way I would want to commute three hours a day to go to work.

For high school, I commuted an hour and a half each way, leaving my house at 7AM and getting home at 5PM.

Yes, my high school was an hour and a half away from my house.

There was No Way I would want to duplicate that commute back then with the job offer in Manhattan.

I stayed in CT, and a year or so later landed a new job with a great company.

I'm not at the Great Depression point. Yet.

But I do seem a couple of things that concern me.

1) the exuberant expenditure on AI by corporations. Corporations seem to be reducing stock buy-backs because they are draining their cash on AI CapEx expenditures. So, without those buybacks, there seems to be a surplus of shares "out there."

2) corporations starting to realize that their AI expenditures may not have the resulting profits to justify those expenditures.

As I said, concern, not a prediction.

So, it seems Pres Trump gave out a couple of no-bid contracts (apparently regardless of their ability to solve the problem) to his buddies to disfigure a National Landmark?

And now his DoJ is accusing, without evidence, some random person of vandalizing the Reflecting Pool?

At one point in my career, a three or four decades ago, I was offered a quite lucrative job in Manhattan.

I told the recruiter that I did not want to spend three hours a day sitting on trains, commuting.

The recruiter told me to find some landlord who would offer me an apartment with a bed, a refrigerator with microwave, and a bathroom for a low monthly rental, and that I should spend my weeknights there (the agent called it an aerie apartment). And not commute to my home in CT during the week.

Needless to say, I did not accept that job, which would have doubled my salary.

My concern is that if I go below 400x400, then the comment in the cartoon becomes a blur, unreadable.

I left the GOP in the early 2000's when the Tea Party started showing their white-supremacist and misogynist tendencies.

Lots of two- or three-bedroom single-story houses on third- to half-acre lots.

My neighbor across the street who bought the house "new" back then told me he paid $16,000 for it.

Today the houses on this street are going for $350,000 to $400,000, depending upon the upgrades that have been made over the decades.
