Which political party approves and enacts the laws in Texas?

I heard about the Caitlin Clark bandwagon. So, I did something I never would have done before and watched some of the WNBA finals, and man, it was bad. It was a very close, decisive Game 5, won by the Liberty, but the play was about what'd you expect to see from a first-round game in the ACC Tournament, with the number eleven and 14 seeds futilely battling it out. It was technically basketball, but it's women's basketball.

Arm fetuses.

Yes, you've heard me right. If a fetus is indeed considered a person, it should have the right to defend itself. Why not provide it with the means to do so? A specially designed tiny firearm could be developed and inserted into its hand, or hands, after, say, fourteen weeks of gestation under the supervision of a doctor or certified professional.

Heaven forbid, if an abortion were to occur after said point, the armed fetus could defend itself by shooting the doctor or hospital staff. The fetus would be exercising its right to float its sac' as in the amniotic sac. The act would be like stand your ground', only by a fetus.

This would not only protect the unborn child but also serve as a powerful deterrent to those contemplating abortion. Imagine the conversations around the water cooler. "Did you hear about the armed fetus law? Makes you think twice, huh?"

Additionally, this would serve as a deterrent for people engaging in intimate activity, as they would think twice knowing that the baby they would conceive may end up armed and dangerous. That would give folks pause, leading to a new era of prudence and caution.

Of course, this idea is still in its conceptual stage and requires further discussion as we work towards a uniquely American solution that involves the collaboration of all citizens.

I'll play. I've read Vance interviews, such as a couple with Ross Douthat of the NYT, one of the writers I trust, and Vance came across as reasonable and smart. Some of his views are out there, but what candidate doesn't have some?

How else do we form opinions about candidates? Interviews and voting records are all we've got. Most people form opinions from first impressions.

Vance sold his soul to be Trump's VP. Most of Trump's acolytes do. That said, Vance is the one I feel more comfortable with out of all of them. He's a rock ribbed conservative in the tradition of Pence and Jeb! Take away him pandering to the pro-lifers and he seems like he'd be able to compromise reasonably. Plus, he's a Yale educated Marine. Not bad bonifides. Still won't make me vote for Trump.

Remember, Iran shot missiles at a U.S. military base and injured over 100 service men when Trump was president, and he didn't do a damn thing about it

I canvassed for Carter as a 12 year-old.I learned a lot by talking to folks. Jimmy Carter was too smart and too moral to survive in DC. Once the evangelicals turned against him, it was over. Happy Birthday, Mr President.
