No it's not. I said I commend NM for actually having a budget/plan that was clear and concise to tackle paying for childcare. I have no issues with that whatsoever. And it should be a lesson for people like Mandami who are looking to do the same thing. But wait, New York has a drilling moratorium on O&G. Signed in 2014 by Andrew Cuomo iirc.

I might even email some of my contacts for them to take a look at what NM is doing and see if they would be interested in aligning with Louisiana to do something similar.

I'm positive the oil and gas executives are getting a chuckle out of it.

You know this is what the industry expects in return for this. Lighten up on the rhetoric and damnation some and we'll pay for your child care.

I spent my whole career in oil & gas. Most people have no idea how much they contribute to local communities. Just the high paying salaries alone breathes life into communities. My old employer, Shell Oil, has sponsored New Orleans Jazz Fest as far back as I can remember. They donated to habitat for humanity, local schools and charities etc....

Again, point to where I said gas and oil was evil, lfthand.

That's correct. It's kind of similar to the tobacco industry. We tax the sale of their products to the point where it's a necessary source of revenue.

As of 2023, we collect $38 billion in tax revenue from tobacco.

You don't have a point. What you have is an obligation to somehow twist the hypocrisy to save face for these people. These people either, never believed their own words about oil & gas and the environment, or they really don't care about the environment when it comes to their pet projects. And again, I do not find fault in these officials for having a sound plan and budget to pay for the childcare.

What you won't admit is that oil & gas is providing the funding for NM to afford something good for families, they otherwise couldn't.

On one hand, it's refreshing to see an actual plan on how they intend to fund it. On the other hand, these are liberals who constantly fight for oil and gas to go away. So now, they become dependent upon what they hate, to fund what they want. IOW, they don't even believe their own rhetoric about climate change. Nice to know we have liberals fighting for the lifeblood of oil and gas. I knew they'd eventually come around.

That isn't really the case under Roe, but I wouldn't expect you to know that.
As was mentioned earlier, Roe takes fetal viability into consideration and finds viability is present in the third trimester.
Republicans thought that was unfair to fetuses, so they undid it, and now it's a mess where women are dying from miscarriages that otherwise would have lived, and you don't give two ----- about it just like you don't give two ----- about all the fetuses that get aborted.

Gotcha, it all boils down to what side of that abdominal wall this fetus is on. if on the inside it's open season for abortion, on the outside it's birth and a person. Even though there's no difference in the two beings.
