IMO its because he ran a good campaign on declaring he'll do free stuff, and his "ethnicity" is such that it appeals to a majority of the youth in NYC.

What surprised me was CA counted all the ballots in one evening.

This is all very simple.

SS and Local PD were inept and complacent. That's it, no conspiracy, they have since wised up and begun taking things seriously again. Hence, the tree-stand concern.

You also forgot the guy in the stands getting shot and killed in the line of fire, and the bullets that missed people in the stands that jumped because they were shocked.
