Between hearings for deposed Venezuelan President Nicols Maduro and accused CEO shooter Luigi Mangione, the U.S. federal court in Manhattan was recently asked to consider an important question: When is salsa too spicy? Minutes later, Rep. Dave Pinto, DFL-St. Paul, the committee co-chair, compared blaming higher work pay for causing higher prices to the impact shoplifting has on higher prices. He started by mentioning a presentation on the impact of organized retail theft he'd heard in a public safety committee the day before. "There was a presentation of a group seeking to change how we address organized retail theft," he said. Might have been a tanker fuel transfer gone wrong.

It apparently wasn't .... it was a near head-on mid air collision.
Allegedly, a third tanker was around 10 miles behind this one & was just able to avoid being hit, too. At a closure rate of 1,000 mph, the third tanker would have around 40 seconds to maneuver away from the doomed jet after seeing the collision.
A better look at the partially sliced-off tail of the USAF KC-135 involved in the mid-air collision over Iraq yesterday, back on the ground in Tel Aviv.
