Smart TVs are for dumb people. Use an old (or a new one if you've got one on hand) PC as a media device hooked up to your TV. Most modern graphics cards will have an HDMI out port. You can stream from any service and use an ad blocker to get rid of those ridiculous ads they are trying to shove into something you're already paying for. No need to replace the TV just don't hook it up to the internet, problem solved.

Smart devices like TVs and apps in general only exist to steal your data and limit your access to their approved partners. I never use an app when a website will work just as well or better.
