JIT hasn't changed. OEM to Dealer programs are what's been changing principally with GM. Whenever they take losses they try to soak their franchises.

and the root cause of being wrong: Trump settles for far, far less than he promises.

Tariffs have had little impact on automotive parts pricing.

I and many other industry experts thought it would, and we've so far been quite wrong.

Price increases are half of what tariffs would suggest, while also making hybrid standard on the vehicle and adding more features to the XL trim level year over year along with body style changes.

$5 billion on China Joint Ventures
$3.5 billon on Cruise
$2.5 billion on EVs
$2.4 billion on North American ops EBIT shrinkage

If they dump robotaxis and EVs, or China operations, they'd be very profitable.

Warplanes almost never use transponders. I see a lot of air tankers and military transports with transponders, but never bombers or fighters (other than Talons used for training).

The B-52 has transponders that work with TCAS, but no TCAS display. It has Mode C transponders.

FAA requires all large commercial aircraft to have a full TCAS system installed.

Democrats aren't the "rounding up people and sending them to camps" party.

All immigrants are aliens, not all aliens are immigrants.

According to US law they are variously:

Alien, Illegal Alien, Unauthorized Alien, Without Lawful Status, and/or Unlawfully Present.

Unauthorized Alien is what appears when referring to stuff like illegally employed farm workers, 8 US Code 1423a.

Illegal Alien is what appears in INA 274a, referring to unlawful entry and penalties.

Immigrant is the correct term for those seeking permanent lawful resident, whereas seasonal farm workers hired illegally would be Aliens.

In that vein, here's some potential candidates so you can feel good about yourself when undocumented replaces illegal as the perjorative:

"Unauthorized Resident"
"Migrant Without Status"
"Pre-Status Individual"
"Forced Migrant"
"Immigration-insecure"

In 2026 though he can produce whatever he wants and there's a huge Internet waiting for him. Maybe he'll be equitable to his staff (doubt it). Think he'll premier on Bluesky or Twitter?

That's how crazy that show's budget is. With his estimated net worth of $75 million if he funded the show himself he'd be broke quickly into his second season.

Making yourself a corporate target definitely doesn't help matters.

An even worse idea than losing $60 million a year on a dying genre that's not suited to streaming.

Just wait till you find out how much the government loses to operate.
