Why are republicans so afraid of other people?

I'm pretty sure it's ignorance and hatred coupled by a feeling of superiority.

Americans who are doing well don't care about immigrants.

Americans whose lives suck are easy targets. Especially white ones. They're the superior race, they've said so.

Their criminal ancestors came to America centuries ago. How dare immigrants show up and outperform them?

It used to be white privileged. Now it's white persecution. Which, is just another form of white privileged.

Oh, it's racist as all hell; like LBJ said about giving a white man someone to look down on is the best way for politicians to pick his pockets.

I was surprised how many brown people I saw in the Rust Belt states; some places looked like South Texas. But the vast majority are legal citizens and residents, and now they fear for their safety by violence from the people who's salaries they pay with taxes.

- Resisting arrest

I am glad the violent illegals were arrested but they should have been immediately deported vs released on bond where they will now doubly-resist their next law enforcement arrest when they fail to show up to court. The next part of this story needs to be about this landscaping company being prosecuted for hiring illegals. The officers are right - the liberals encouraging them to resist arrest will end up with people getting shot. That blood is on the hands of the dipshit liberals.

No - just the liberals that benefit from the illegals wage suppressing actions and who lack total empathy for their fellow Americans....most likely because they have been programmed to hate white people - specifically straight white males.

In your case, you hate straight white males because you feel like a perpetual victim. In your mind, your failing in your career and personal happiness is because of some straight white guy - not your sandpaper-like personality or your militant homosexuality.

For those of us doing great mentally, emotionally, and financially - WE CARE. We care because we know how much harder it makes life for the lower class Americans that are competing for jobs will illegals and that don't have the money to send their kids to private schools so their kids wind up with a substandard education and trapped into a cycle of low wages.

ICE Took Half Their Work Force. What Do They Do Now?
www.nytimes.com

... They gathered in a conference room for the weekly management meeting, even though there was hardly anyone left to manage. Chad Hartmann, the president of Glenn Valley Foods in Omaha, pushed a few empty chairs to the side of the room and then passed around a sheet totaling the latest production numbers. "Take a deep breath and brace yourselves," he said.

For more than a decade, Glenn Valley's production reports had told a story of steady ascendance " new hires, new manufacturing lines, new sales records for one of the fastest-growing meatpacking companies in the Midwest. But, in a matter of weeks, production had plummeted by almost 70 percent. Most of the work force was gone. Half of the maintenance crew was in the process of being deported, the director of human resources had stopped coming to work, and more than 50 employees were being held at a detention facility in rural Nebraska.

Hartmann, 52, folded the printed sheet into tiny squares and waited out the silence.

"So, this gives you a pretty good sense of the work we have ahead of us," he said.

"It's a wipeout," said Gary Rohwer, the owner. ...

Rohwer, 84, had always used a federal online system called E-Verify to check whether his employees were eligible to work, and Glenn Valley Foods itself had not been accused of any violations. Rohwer was a registered Republican in a conservative state, but he'd voted for a Democrat for the first time in the 2024 election, in part because of Trump's treatment of immigrants.

Rohwer couldn't square the government's accusations of "criminal dishonesty" with the employees he'd known for decades as "salt-of-the-earth, incredible people who helped build this company," he said. Most of them had no criminal history, aside from a handful of traffic violations. Many were working mothers, and now they were calling the office from detention and asking for legal advice.

Their children, U.S. citizens, were struggling at home and in some cases subsisting on donations of the company's frozen steak. ...

'Among Trump's ICE Detainees, 72% Have No Criminal Convictions Despite Vow to Focus on Worst of the Worst'

President Donald Trump has pledged to target "the worst of the worst" as he moves to deport millions of people from the U.S. But government data contradicts this narrative.

As of June 29, 71.7% of people detained by ICE had no criminal convictions, and only a small fraction were classified as high-level threats. Research has consistently shown that immigrants, including those who have entered the country illegally, are less likely to be incarcerated than native-born citizens and that immigration is not a driving force behind violent crime in the U.S.

Experts say the false rhetoric coming out of the Trump administration creates real harm for immigrant communities and public safety as a whole.

Working illegally is yet another crime.

Criminal illegals (which would only exclude visa overstays), need to be deported. However, we need to deport the visa overstays as well and permanently bar their re-entry. The visa overstays is estimated to be ~20% of the entire US Indian population.

... As thousands of National Guardsmen and hundreds of Marines descended on Los Angeles this month on White House orders amid immigration raid protests, Marcos Leao was just trying to run some errands.

The 27-year-old Army veteran, wearing sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt, thought he had spare time to grab some paperwork from the Department of Veterans Affairs. While listening to music on his headphones, he took a shortcut around the Wilshire Federal Building by brushing past some police tape.

Shortly after crossing through the federal building complex, he saw a service member yelling at him to get back on the other side of the tape, and he quickly complied.

After presenting his identification card at the front walkway to the VA building, he continued on his way. Then, as the song "Someday" by Flipsyde floated in his ears, he saw a Marine shouting at him to get on the ground.

Soon, his wrists were being zip-tied, and he was held by the Marines for what he estimated was nearly two hours before being handed off to LA police.

"I was like, 'This is ridiculous,'" Leao recounted to Military.com on Wednesday. "Now, there's a miscommunication, a big miscommunication." ...

A robust asylum and temporary protected status system
You want the current broken system to continue - NOT going to happen. Also TEMPORARY means TEMPORARY.

Far more immigration judges to adjudicate asylum and TPS cases
No need - with remain in Mexico, the number of people filing has cratered.

A path to citizenship
Nope, showstopper issue. WE WILL NOT REWARD THOSE THAT CUT THE LINE. They ALL are going back.

A robust guest worker program
Where there is proven need, fine. Where they depress wages like H1B's - NOPE.

Protections for DACA and Dreamers
That would only apply to those that came here by like 2011 (?) - but still NO. If they are illegals and adults, send them back. Already bad enough that they scammed the US taxpayers out of $200,000+ in public school funding.

Labor protections for undocumented and guest workers
ZERO protections for undocumented workers. For guest workers - full protection and they are not allowed to bring families here while employed.

Robust and timely removal of undocumented immigrants who commit serious crimes
Entering the US illegally or intentionally overstaying a visa is a serious crime - THEY ALL NEED TO GO BACK.

Access to public schools and portions of the social safety net
100% NO. You liberals have destroyed the public schools and the social safety nets enough already. Guest workers cannot bring family members and illegals are all deported. Solves the social safety net and public school issue.

" fighting tooth and nail to not have violent illegals deported,"

On the contrary: all they asked was the Constitution be followed, YOU'RE the one schitting on due process.

For example, you can't prove the overall claim you've made. Where have the courts proven the "violent" part you're stating? They haven't.

That's fascism.

Because if all that's needed is an accusation ...

... it seems we have video of you talking to your lawn crew ...

So ... off to El Salvador with you! Adios!

The 'Maryland Man' violently assaulted his wife at least 2 times in between his human trafficking runs. Whether she dropped the charges or not is immaterial in my classification of him as violent. All told, I don't give 2 shits if he was violent or not - HE IS HERE ILLEGALLY - and that is enough cause to deport him. ALL of them are going back.

Bring them in by the millions with almost no vetting.

Removal - 10 appearances before in immigration judge taking years before an adjucication. For each and every illegal alien brought in by Biden.

" THEY ALL NEED TO GO BACK."

What a riot. Not even 25% will go back.

Donald Trump is playing you for a fool. He's going to exempt MOST OF THEM. Meatpacking workers, restaurant workers, hotel workers, farm workers. Eventually, he'll add construction workers, covering The Big Five.

By the time he's done, he'll be Reagan on steroids.

Your claim of "ALL", as usual, is Republican Math.

Democrats' census power gambit is being chipped away and they are furious.

And there you have it.

Republicans will attack anyone who says the government must uphold and defend the Constitution.

#66 "All" is advocacy. It's really not attainable. It's an ideal.

How many detainees do you foresee in Florida and Texas to bulk up the numbers for the 2030 census?

Two million? Five million? More?

I've got no problems with deporting criminals who have been adjudicated as criminals.

I have a YUUUUGE problem with deporting non-criminals who might not even have been accused.

Why don't you?

GFY. You cheered when Trump made it worse.

Like that orange pus, you want the issue as a political wedge. You've never wanted to address the root, ever.

Hell, you don't even have the class to admit hirers are the problem.

Danforth,

It's simple. We have processes for entry. Follow those processes. Those who don't- kick them out immediately. That's how a sovereign and lawful country handles its borders.

I've always said they are part of the problem. Last time I did so (about a week ago) you disingenuously suggested it was a first for me, which couldn't have been further from the truth.

Yet, here you are, same allegation after I agreed with you very recently.

Do you seriously not remember that?

"part of the problem"

Part?
People who give unauthorized people work are the only cause of the problem.
Name another cause, if you think there is more to it.

Luckily, no one gives 2 shits how you feel about this. Trump is done trying to negotiate and appease you liberal, open-border dipshits. Maybe your side should not have tried to jail him for life and then shoot him multiple times if you wanted to still be seen as a good faith negotiating party.

Per the article that was linked here by the Danforth/Lamp character from the NYT. 70 of the workers were found to have stolen identities used to defraud e-verify. Was that the employer's fault?

i am going to go out on a limb and say you complained when ICE took Kilmar brego Garca, and deported him.
#19 | Posted by oneironaut

Quick question:

Did the Supreme Court have the same complaint when ICE took Kilmar brego Garca, and deported him?

Yes or no.

Why do you only give the USSC legitimacy when they agree with you? Seems like a liberal logic problem - you do the same with Fox News. Very strange.

Giving government benefits (EBT cards, hotel rooms, etc) are also a cause of the problem.

Go after the employers AND the bennies. At that point most of the incentive to come here illegally is gone.

Be a white guy entering China, Japan, or Mexico illegally and see what happens. It is not white privilege - it is enforcing your national sovereignty just like every other country on earth. Only the dipshit Dems thought it would be a great idea to drastically increase welfare and then stop enforcing the border.

You are acting like liberals want to actually solve the problem - clearly, they don't. No proposal, no matter how common sense, will be acceptable to them because they don't want to solve the problem.
