White people will riot for a black dude getting shot by regular cops after stealing a box of cigars from a corner store, but not for a white lady shot down in the streets by what people are calling Nazi Stormtroopers.

I'm just here for the show and the apoplectic flailing of limbs as the exact sheet show we've been warned about for decades comes to fruition.

The Covid ship sailed. Cops refused to wear masks then, in Philly specifically, and had mass absences as Covid went through their ranks.

But this is really about ICE agents, and they are wearing them to not get doxed.

If so, why was the ICE agent in the video (linked in #2) [and, wow, that was an amazing video segment. thx] apparently using his cell phone to record what was happening?

Possible, simplified, constitutionally applicable laws:

"No entity or affiliated group may own more than X single-family residential properties in any metropolitan statistical area."
or
"No corporation, REIT, or investment fund may acquire single-family residential property unless it is sold within 24 months to an owner-occupant."

Putin's ghost fleet. If you don't like Russia's war in Ukraine, you should love this. That's where the money goes.

That's only half the story. The full story is more enlightening.

They made zero dent in drug imports. Budget realities led to slashing funding 75%. Police stopped citing addicts to get them into treatment. The number of adults who reported prior drug use went from 7.8% to 12.8% in 20 years. Overdose rates are at a 12 year high. Sewage samples for coke & special k are some of the highest in all of Europe. Drug encampments appeared, and when they did, private security forces were created.

Seattle runs a continuous budget shortfall. Currently $250 million. The prior Mayor addressed the shortfall by hiring freezes and cutting services.

It's an idea that works, if you can pay for it. Seattle can't pay for it.
