When I worked for the government, my job had a description. I fit the description well enough that they hired me to do it.

The requested information already exists. Asking the employees for it -- and bypassing not only their direct managers but the entire org chart -- is preposterous.

Anyone who defends this is a stooge or a troll and has no business working in a successful business.

Would it be any surprise if what they are really checking is who even opens up the email, and WHEN?
