Donald Trump on Thursday got a question about what he would do as president to make child care more affordable and accessible. The answer he gave might charitably be described as a rambling non sequitur, or less charitably as policy gibberish. Either way, Trump did not actually offer a concrete proposal - or even express much interest in finding one. read more
Fox News host Stuart Varney is giving 2024 Democratic nominee Kamala Harris props for her latest proposal to help small businesses. The vice president "wants to expand the small business tax credit tenfold - from $5,000 to $50,000 - to help startups cover the average $40,000 it costs to launch an enterprise. I've got to say that is a good idea," Varney emphasized. read more
Since Joe Biden reluctantly stepped aside from the presidential race in late July, his approval rating has steadily ticked up to levels of popularity he had not seen in more than a year, an apparent reflection of both the gratitude of voters who view his decision as selfless and also of a slew of positive economic news in recent weeks. The 48% approval Biden reached in a poll conducted for USA Today last week was the highest mark Suffolk had recorded during the Democrat's presidency. read more
Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign raised $361 million in August, more than triple what former President Donald Trump brought in and the most a presidential campaign has ever raised in a single month. The campaign said it has $404 million in cash on hand, a total spread across the Harris campaign, the Democratic National Committee and other joint fundraising committees. read more
Michael Arceneaux: Why would any Black person defend their blackness to a white person in an interview? Harris' response was perfect: "Same old tired playbook. Next question, please." Do I believe Kamala Harris should answer questions related to her campaign? Yes, but I don't think she necessarily should take that many from cable news anchors and political reporters from mainstream outlets, and her CNN interview is a prime example why. read more
Yep, there's simply no way to spin this. In traditional Republican circles, Dick Cheney is their John Wayne. And now, John Wayne is telling you that Donald Trump is a bad guy, and that he's voting for the Democrat.
Can't call Dick Cheney a RINO. Can't say that he doesn't know what he's talking about when he was the Vice President in charge on 9/11. Can't say that he's not a real American, like they do with every other Republican who finds him equally abhorrent. Can't call him a commie, and you can't criticize his foreign policy inside GOP circles.
It'll be interesting to see what they come up with, or have we finally reached the point that a flood of traditional Republicans will finally acknowledge that which they should have recognized no later than January 6th 2021?

Well, this argument is over.
CHENEY GRAVE WARNING: 'NO GREATER THREAT' THAN TRUMPTrump himself has now become the only issue that matters in this election. And knowing him, there's no way he's going to share space in the headlines with stupid issues.
It's not really that insipid if it is being asked by her opponent. Not necessarily
Read post 35 as many times as it takes to sink in.
I get that you like this sort of insipidness-from the author-but you'd vote for a punchbowl turd if he/she had a (D) in front of their name.
You have the obtuseness of a block of wood - and far less usefulness. There are millions of American voters who don't need either A) The Republican presidential ticket, nor B) The same media who has NEVER asked Trump to detail ANY policy he blurts out while simultaneously ignoring the Democratic Party Platform and every single speech - and detailed policies - Kamala has articulated since 7/21/24 when she became the nominee.
Just because you need spoon feeding doesn't mean that others do. The media and Trump have driven this narrative from minute one, and Harris has no desire to let them dictate how she runs her campaign.
And apparently America approves, as does Dick and Liz Cheney, two of the most staunch Republicans alive. I guess they're voting for a punchbowl turd as well, right, Mad?
As I said, stick to what you don't know. No one needs your ignorance to spread more widely than your ego demands anyway.
Most of the total could come from large donations.
No it can't Eberly, and you should know that. These are direct donations, not Super PAC numbers. Individuals - be they billionaires or paupers - can only max out at $3,300 for presidential elections.
Why do you continually insult me from your own ignorance? I DID the math.
Also, Trump and Vance both have beeen very acccessible.
Trump takes no questions at lengthy news conference on his legal casesF.O.
