What's funny in a sad way is how the Right refuses to be rigid on subjects of vast importance where some rigidity might be useful: The Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I'm never going to get over American conservatism trading such things for something as vomitus as Donald Trump. I won't get over it; I won't forgive it. And I'll never trust any "conservative " ever again.

I'd imagine that someone simply storming the security line would be the first thing security prepared for.

If even three people had done what this one man actually accomplished, I wonder how many dead there would have been?

It's either the case that the Secret Service has become a slovenly law enforcement function, due to Trump's corruption.

Or the Secret Service engages in treacherous play-acting due to Trump's corruption.
