I can report as a certainty that the local schools here are still unable to choose any plan to handle COVID, and the kids are due September 24th. The powers that be have obviously wasted months when they could have come up with something. Or maybe there's objectively nothing anyone can come up with? The school district seems to be sleep-walking over the edge of a cliff.
The teachers here continue to debate whether showing up for work is worth their lives. They are well aware of the example of schools in Georgia and expect school openings here to continue one week, maybe two, before everything crashes and burns. Some teachers plan to tough it out, hoping that the schools close again in a few days. Others will flat-out quit.
If any parent asks my opinion, as a parent myself I would advise them not to send their kids into what well be a death trap.
One again, thank you God-Emperor Trump, and the royal -------- who support you.
