Trump is failing badly.

He began tripping over his own shoelaces almost immediately.

The only question is how long MAGA will pretend there is no disaster.

Before feeling the need to find someone not Trump to blame.

I'm gloomy because the impending crash will bring home prices down, so I can afford a better one, but the home will be in a Nazi country.

But it will show people that there's a big difference between deflation (actual price drops) and drops in inflation.

Pampered idiots that have only known largesse are gonna get a lesson.

Der Dotard is already focused on Jay Powell being to blame for the stagflation coming on this country's economy. If so, the president needs to explain why interest rates need cutting if the economy is so strong and employment is higher than BLS statistics show. If both are true there is no need to cut rates, and a rate increase would make more sense. If prices are rising at a rate above the target of 2% inflation that means wage rates will rise, with no gain in employment. If the reports from the BLS are accurate (which I believe them to be), an argument could be made for rate cuts in coming months, except for that pesky inflation rate.

The next Fed chair will have his hands full. The MAGA GOP candidates for the 2026 election would well be in panic mode by next Spring and a wrong move by the new Fed chair could cause control of the Congress to change to the Dems, with major hijinks then ensuing ...
