Michael Tomasky: The former president's lawlessness has dodged many an obstacle over the years, but he's facing a new challenge now: a jury of his peers.

We May Finally Get to Write: 'Convicted Felon Donald Trump'

I'd wager that there will be at least one MAGAt holdout that results in a hung jury.

@#2

I've said it before, my opinion is that this is the weakest of the current cases fmr Pres Trump is facing.

Mr Michael Cohen seems to be a main witness. A person with a penchant for lying?

I hope the prosecution has other witnesses and evidence o corroborate Mr Cohen's testimony.

How about Hope Hicks? Does that fit your bill?

Seems like his convictions for being a co-conspirator sorta overrides his credibility issues. The man spent years in jail for his part in what Trump is charged with and has his Congressional testimony as backup support.

Cohen was under oath in Congress, and to my knowledge no Republicans leveled accusations against his testimony before them being credible and true.

I'll believe it when I see it.

@#3 ... Does that fit your bill? ...

That depends upon how much she remembers.

@#4

I do not disagree.

I said my opinion was that this case was the weakest. I didn't say that the DA has no chance of winning. :)

It's the weakest case, as I understand it, because he hasn't also been charged with breaking election laws, which isn't necessary, apparently, but would help the prove case of illegally hiding the hush money as business transactions.

Election laws written by elected officials being notoriously purposely vague and hard to prove.

"Mr Michael Cohen seems to be a main witness. A person with a penchant for lying?"

You need to check that meme bro.

They were Trumpy lies. He lied for Trumpy. Like they all have to do.

Then he manned up and admitted to his lie. Like very few Trumpers can or are willing to do.

Read his books he explains very clearly how he got wrapped up in Trumpy's world of lies and how he finally escaped it.

He had to do time in prison because of Trumpy's lies.

Why shouldn't Trumpy have to do the same for his own lies?

But besides. Everything he says is backed up by other witnesses or documentation.

Trumpy's only way out is to disrupt the trial or tamper with and/or intimidate the witnesses or the jury pool (which he has already done)

It's not that I don't think he's guilty.. But it only takes one Trumpanzie for a hung jury to get him off.
