... Why it matters: Harris' campaign is navigating how to promote her history with U.S.-Mexico border policy to attract swing voters as well as Latinos.

- - - "Fixing the border is tough, so is Kamala Harris," a narrator said in the ad released this week, which is running in Arizona and Nevada, per a campaign statement.

- - - Besides her experience in the White House, a separate ad from this week talks up her prosecutorial record and her role in advocating for families when she was California attorney general.

Driving the news: "As a border state prosecutor, she took on drug cartels and jailed gang members for smuggling weapons and drugs across the border," one ad said.

- - - "As vice president, she backed the toughest border control bill in decades. And as president, she will hire thousands more border agents and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking."

The other ad, released Thursday, aims to reach Latinos and highlights her family's immigrant roots.

- - - "When you're raised by an immigrant mother, you learn what's possible with determination," the narrator says in the ad. ...

As I told my female friend in 2020 who was so thrilled by Harris's VP election,

As VP, its not her show.

@#3 ... As VP, its not her show. ...

Yup.

Are the Arizona and Nevada ads just the start of ads outlining her immigration policy?

Nobody is buying this. It's such a flagrant lie. Shameless.

" Shameless."

Millions more dollars, and hundreds more support staff would be there NOW, but for Trump telling Republicans to kill the bill. And why? Because Trump WANTED THIS as a campaign issue.

"Shameless" definitely applies, and leaving out THE SALIENT PART WHERE TRUMP KILLED THE BILL certainly qualifies.

You're not ignorant; you're malevolent.

Are you saying she won't do what she says she will when she's elected?

Like not building a Wall when you said you would... and that you would get someone else to pay for it?

How many times are you going to vote for Trump?

Theres more to a good immigration policy, but building a wall is a good start. Who cares who pays for it, its better than buying the supplies and then letting them rot and get sold pennys to the dollar, them like Biden did.

US needs to make everyone enter at PoE. Detain until determine if not history of problems (background check). Then toss back the bad seeds. Give the new ones citizenship.

Immigration doesn't need to be that hard.

" building a wall is a good start. "

Not when you refuse to deal with the root cause.

When do we start frog-marching the hirers?

Is it because it's mostly Republican counties, run by Republican sheriffs, who are looking the other way when Republican members of the chamber of commerce break the law, because the members of the chamber of commerce are the largest contributors to the sheriff's re-election campaign?

Hmmmm ... .

Anybody see a problem there?

Trump promised to build a wall in 2016. 4 years as POTUS barely any wall there.

Never.

Is it a federal crime to knowingly hire an undocumented worker?

You're telling us the United States Federal Government is waiting on local sheriffs to start arresting employers?

ICE, the attorney General, the department of Justice, home land security, etc ... .all powerless.

But Andy and Barney have all the power to tackle this issue?
