Iran Offers Nuclear Negotiations with the United States

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) " Iran's supreme leader opened the door Tuesday to renewed negotiations with the United States over his country's rapidly advancing nuclear program, telling its civilian government there was "no harm" in engaging with its "enemy."

Comments

"But his comments mirror those around the time of Iran's 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, which saw Tehran's nuclear program greatly curtailed in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.

Yet it remains unclear just how much room Pezeshkian will have to maneuver, particularly as tensions remain high in the wider Middle East over the Israel-Hamas war and as the U.S. prepares for a presidential election in November."

Most Iranians in Iran want Trump to win.

They prefer Trump's disdain for the Islamic government the United States installed in the late 70s/early 80s, to the democrat's approach of funding them.

The truth is, Iran is a fundamentalist Islamic nation because America wants them to be.

War is a great business and in order to maintain war, you need an enemy.

Mission Accomplished.

They're afraid of invasion and regime change.

The US is capable of doing it as Iraq showed.

America is a hypocrite country. Iran knows war is bad.

Americans worship successful violence.

It's a sick militarized society of liars and Genocidal maniacs.

Israel without the whole "Chosen" Crap.

We call it "Exceptionalism" but it's the same Soul Sickness.

Vainglory and Expansionism.

Hegemony and the Lust fur Empire.

Putin using the 2 percent of voters who were Nazis, led by a KGB agent, btw, as an excuse for his civilian targeting invasion has obviously fooled you and a bunch of Trumpers, but no one else.

"They're afraid of invasion and regime change."

From whom? A Biden, Harris or Trump administration?

"The US is capable of doing it as Iraq showed"

The conditions are not even remotely similar, though. That was in the aftermath of 9/11, and the US and its allies had signalled their intentions far in advance, including going to the UN Security Council.

'We call it "Exceptionalism"'

American Exceptionalism can be dumb. The inversion of it that you consistently post is just as dumb.

A Trump administration Could invade Iran.

A Harris administration could as well.

What make you so confident they wouldn't use military force up to and including preemptive invasion if they felt " threatened" by Iran?

I see no reason to be confident about the peaceful intentions of any American administration. If Israel starts something we will back their play.

"Good Reasons" will be manufactured to justify any projection of lethal force.

This is precedent under both Democrats and Republicans. Truman Nuked Japan.

Dubya invaded Iraq. Clinton bombed Serbia. Johnson escalated in Vietnam.

It's a BIPARTISAN Militarism that transcends parties,or political creeds.

A true outsider would renounce Militarism, not celebrate it, as Both Trump and Harris do.
