How Russia Today infiltrated right wing media

RT, or Russia Today is Russia's official propaganda and disinformation platform. Multiple countries stopped carrying the RT news channel after the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, so Russia needed to find another way to disseminate state-sponsored propaganda. Tenet Media (known as "U.S. Company-1" in the indictment) is a right-leaning content creation company focusing on YouTube and social media. This company allegedly accepted $9.7 million dollars in funding from RT to parrot Russian talking points as directed by Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afanassvia.

The corny af right wing youtube talking heads all fell inline with Russian propaganda on Ukraine.

This is why. RT paid Tenet Media to do the heavy lifting for them.

Everything in the Indictment by the U.S. Justice Department indicates that Lauren Chen and her Husband, who are the Founders of Tenet, knew that they were being funded by the Russian Government and may have even been working directly alongside Russian Agents in order to push their Employees, like Tim and Benny, into making the Content requested by the Russians."

A day later and I cannot believe that the defense that Tim Pool, Benny Johnson, etc. have settled on is "hey, were merely useful idiots who were duped. Pawns, we were, pawns!" Like, that's the BEST CASE SCENARIO for people who punitively make their living on their savvy. I happen to believe they knew full well what they were doing, but it's almost funnier if they're right and they were simply the biggest idiots ever.
