Trump Only Approved Wildfire Aid After Being Told he Had Voters There

Former White House advisers said Trump hesitated as president to provide disaster aid to California because of the state's Democratic leanings.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, former President Donald Trump has blasted the Biden administration for its handling of the disaster " going so far as to accuse Democratic leaders of ignoring the needs of Republican storm victims. But a review of Trump's record by POLITICO's E&E News and interviews with two former Trump White House officials show that the former president was flagrantly partisan at times in response to disasters and on at least three occasions hesitated to give disaster aid to areas he considered politically hostile or ordered special treatment for pro-Trump states.

As usual, when fmr Pres Trump accuses Democrats of doing something wrong or bad, he seems to be just projecting his own poor behavior upon others.

This is disqualifying for the Presidency----I guess we add it to Trump's list. The boredom of his followers in response to each and every episode like this damns them as Americans and, frankly, as human beings.

Lately I've been doing somethimg I have not done in r jusy acquaintences.the past because I didn't want to offend family, friends or aquaintences. I ask them if they are aware of stories like this one and then ask them how they could still vote for Trump and I've quit caring if they are offended. If they know about stories like this but are still voting for him then my opinion of them is so low I just don't care.

Wild fires have always seemed like a natural candidate for developing technology to spot and help in prevention. They need the initial fire spotted and extinguished using high tech.

They are not like hurricanes that most would currently see as impossible to prevent but some may someday allow potential things like seeding clouds to stop them from forming and expanding.

Too much disaster aid destroys society while always enriching cronies.

Hurricanes, tornadoes, bad storms, earthquakes and other natural disasters will be prohibited by executive order to be signed on the first date of the second Trump Administration. Thus, the problem will be solved.

Wildfires are as unpredictable as hurricanes. The Santa Ana winds are sometime up to 100 mph.
