From X to Bluesky: Why are People Fleeing Elon Musk's 'digital town square'?

Musk's platform has lost 2.7 million active US users in two months, while its rival has gained 2.5 million

Senator Richard Blumenthal (who doesn't use Bluesky and instead remains on Twitter) should receive the Medal of Honor for his heroic service in Vietnam, equal to the heroic service provided by Elon Musk.

Oh wait, Blumenthal didn't serve in Vietnam at all.

Just like Musk, he only serves himself.[image or embed]

It's because of Elon Musk.

Obviously!

The only thing worth going to Twitter for these days is porn.

Musk moved it away from being a left wing and gov/corporate approved echo chamber... We can't have that.

So he turned it into a safe space for transphobia, homophobia, antisemitism, discrimination.

Now YOU can have that.

I'd rather have all the negatives that come with unfettered free speech than to give power to any entity to be the sole arbiter of what is acceptable.

I'd also rather be able to see/hear what the crazies are doing/saying as to easily by able to identify them.

Have fun in the echo chamber though.

I'm sure it will be fun next election when everyone on Bluesky is absolutely shocked to find that what they've been hearing and discussing is not where the rest of the country is.

You have to deal with what you might find distasteful to keep a true view of what's around you.

Xitter is nothing but Nazis, bots, and porn. No wonder losers like KRLX love it.

Regardless of what you think there is plenty of information out there indicating that the landscape of twitter is much more balanced than the doom and gloom squad makes it out to be here.

@#12 ... Regardless of what you think there is plenty of information out there indicating ...

Yet you seem to be unable to post anything besides a 5-year-old link.

"Oh wait, Blumenthal didn't serve in Vietnam at all."

His service was so much less than Corporal Bone Spurs who is a bobafide decorated war hero.

Being guilt-tripped into finally installing Twitter on my phone by my then-employers, I confess I experienced a rather 2001 Space Odyssey Monolith moment during my single pass through the Twitter-verse. I believe my exact reaction was "My God! It's full of ***holes!"
