We're having a very warm Christmas as well here in Southern New Mexico. Today's high will be almost 70F.

My wife will sleep (she works the graveyard). I'll be baking a ham, homemade mashed potatoes, green beans, and a bourbon sugar pie.

I'm so anti current Big Corp ads that mostly the only live stuff I watch is some american football, but either sound off for commercials, or just switch the tab.

Think it started a long time ago with that Goodyear tire commercial with a baby threading traffic on a tire... the threat being to his life if you didn't buy their product.

I have seen the Allstate commercials where the star is the bad fortune and accidents you will suffer if you don't buy their insurance.

Of maybe way back in college; I heard that tv commercials were usually slightly louder than the shows, so I tried to get a couple of techy friends to build a device to automatically kill the commercial volume or switch channels, lol

SO, besides trashing the Public Airwaves with garbage products and commercials, and passing the media costs on to the consumer, so many Corporations have now bought into Trump's Fascism.
