UnitedHealth Ordered to Pay $165M for Misleading Consumers

Three UnitedHealth-owned insurance companies must pay more than $165 million for deceptive conduct that misled thousands of consumers into unknowingly buying supplemental health insurance in Massachusetts.

If they did it in Mass, they did it in other places. Other states need to take a look.

How much of that will go back to the consumers who were cheated?

I don't see that spelled out in the article so I am guessing zero zip none nada.

Donner, I suspect half will go the to litigators and the other half to some agency or NGO that will monitor and support corrective action. I believe you are correct that no individuals will see any relief.
