Johnson says Zelenskyy needs to 'come back to the table

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., on Sunday said that Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy might need to resign following the heated Oval Office meeting with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. Johnson said Zelenskyy "needs to come to his senses and come back to the table in gratitude or someone else needs to lead the country to do that" so a peace deal can be reached with Russia and the U.S.

... Johnson says Zelenskyy needs to 'come back to the table ...

I agree.

But not to surrender to Pres Putin under Pres Trump's terms.

Because Zelenskyy was the problem at that meeting, not the two dripping Putin's --------- from their chins.

Let me guess, Zelenskyy should be replaced as President of Ukraine by someone whose name rhyme with Smladimeer Zootin?

@#2 ... Because Zelenskyy was the problem at that meeting, not the two dripping Putin's --------- from their chins. ...

The problem at that meeting was, imo, it was set up with TV cameras and a Russian "jpurnalist" in attendance to be a show.

Indeed, towards the end, Pres Trump even said that it would make great television.

So, something as critical as a Democratic country fighting for its survival, Pres trump seems to view as an ambushed televised event?

Proof? What does proof matter to your type? You support a 34-time convicted felon as president.

And that's not even getting into his pardons of multiple Russia-associated convicts and his active work to sabotage our intelligence services and render us defenseless from Russian espionage.

imo, Pres Trump and the subservient GOP need to come to their senses, and support a President and his country who are fighting for survival as a sovereign freedom-loving Democratic country.

Why does Spkr Johnson seem to be just echoing Pres Putin talking points?

Because the GOP is afraid of bucking Trump. Because of their potential losses at the ballot box and because Hair Furor has many violent and emotionally unstable supporters.

Because Trumpy's brain has no filter and what he thinks comes right out his mouth.

And that is obviously what he wanted. Some "good tv". Or that discussion would have been held in private. Like all high level discussions like that have been previously.
