Cuban Exiles Are Losing Their Privileged Migration

Hundreds of thousands Cubans risk deportation as Trump moves to end protections afforded them by previous administrations.

Another "I didn't think the leopard would eat my face" moment.

Hmmm ... Miami-Dade may not go GOP next year, which could spell trouble for them

Everyone will know someone whose status is unsure and eventually when a friend of relative is deported.

That's what they voted for, right?

Florida is all red and all Trump and all Republican and all GOP ... so, good luck to them back in the land of Cuba.

Dotard Trumpf and Marco Rubella are also targeting Cuban physicians that conduct overseas medical missions (link in first comment).

It's about damn time!

This early migratory wave was largely educated, middle class and 97% white. These well-off Cubans received many benefits once they arrived, ranging from relicensing programs to transition Cuban medical doctors and nurses into jobs in the United State, to the extension of SSI (Supplemental Security Income), to special refugee benefits that exceeded the welfare benefits received by U.S. citizens, against which African Americans in Florida bitterly complained.

Cubans in South Florida have been a destabilizing force for decades. A whole bunch of Central American thuglife types also showed up in Dade and Broward Counties, scheming to retake their countries, after being run out by Leftists. All those Cubans in Florida have among them a large number that hate Castro and his aftermath, but they have little interest in democracy, socialized medicine or the old ways still displayed on the island. They want their old grifting ways back. Send them all home--they can reinvigorate their home country again...

If Latinos voting for Trumpf in 2024 wasn't so tragically stupid, I would laugh.

"The Latino vote is large and diverse spanning backgrounds, geography, and socioeconomics. Still, Trumpf made gains across the board. Of particular note, Trump won 47% of votes among Latino men. He also produced double digit gains in majority-Hispanic counties along the Mexico border in Texas and in Southern Florida."

"Your papers, please!"

The Cuban lobby for Florida is almost as strong as AIPAC lobby for Israel. I won't believe Cubans are being deported until I actually see it happen. Because I do not believe Trump will allow it.
