Trade war paying dividends as Trump promised

Apple (AAPL) plans to source more than 19 billion chips from the US this year, part of a global supply chain shift to gradually lessen its reliance on China and elevate India for iPhone production.

More

He also affirmed expectations that Apple will in future make the vast majority of its US-bound iPhones in India " reducing output from China as the Donald Trump administration threatens to slap punitive tariffs on its Asian rival. India was mentioned almost as many times as China on Thursday's post-earnings conference call, reflecting its rising importance.

With Xi granting tariff exemptions and Chinese factories shuttering at warp speed, the trade war is almost over and the US is winning bigly. The Dow has now corrected to only 2.4% lower than when tariffs were first announced. Also, eggs at Walmart down about $1 in the last week per walmart.com. What will liberals have to whine about now?

Taking credit for Biden's work again.

You're a cynical propagandist. Whether a paid one or a True Believer doesn't matter. Only a very stupid man would accept any of your posts at face value. Which makes me wonder why you post them here? The only truly stupid man who visits is ROBSON.

In regards to the American economy:

1) Trump promised a Golden Age. He's failing until one arives.

2) Trump promised that Golden Age immediately. That means he's failing NOW.

LOL, Trump killed China starting in his first term - this is just the finishing touches now. Trump brought back technology manufacturing with his original tariffs and the new ones re-shore production and/or move it out of China. More liberal tears for the CCP. You -------- are ridiculous.

Keep telling yourself that. Trump is promises made / promises kept. The Dems are on pace to get crushed in the midterms. First Trump cut off their money, next he is fixing our economy, and last - he will force the Dems to vote against no tax on tips, overtime, and SS. That will be the death knell for the party.

Biden's Chips Act

Trump wants to kill it

So where are we getting the rare Earth minerals to make the chips? And how much will they cost with the tariffs?

#6 | Posted by Sycophant at 2025-05-02 10:51 AM

BTW...

From the Article:

"Apple (AAPL) plans to source more than 19 billion chips from the US this year, part of a global supply chain shift to gradually lessen its reliance on China and elevate India for iPhone production."

"Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook talked about leaning more heavily on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSM) , which is expanding its Arizona operations to half a dozen plants."

"He also affirmed expectations that Apple will in future make the vast majority of its US-bound iPhones in India"

Great Job, Tariffs!

iPhones will cost much more and we are creating a ton of jobs...in India...

Are you Donald? You both keep repeating things over and over as if that could make them magically true.

Reality is what reality is. That thing you people do to spin losses into victories is just crazy.

I really don't know what you are trying to claim here - first TSMC is manufacturing the chips in Arizona - you know that is in the United States, right? Meaning they will pay workers here - in the United States. These are high paying jobs working in the fabs and high paying support jobs to build the fabs and keep them running.

As for India getting the iPhone - yeah, I told you ------- this for weeks. The tariffs are an all out war on China. If the jobs go to India - great. If the jobs go to Vietnam - also great.

Oh, and before you -------s try to steal credit for TSMC moving to AZ and give it to braindead Biden - that deal was announced under TRUMP in 2020.

Nope.
You and Donald....Another million repetitions of your silly fantasies make none of it real.

I think the purpose is to make sane people tired of listening to you and therefore not respond to your latest third-rate mythology.

Which you will take as confirmation that what you say must be true and that you are not delusional/liars after all.

Remember back in Trump's first term when that Kenyan imposter posing as president claimed that Trump would need a magic wand to bring back manufacturing jobs? Yeah, he looked raetarded when he said that and then Trump brought back manufacturing jobs. You will look just as stupid this time around.

#25 | Posted by ScottS at 2025-05-04 09:30 PM

"Trump brought back manufacturing jobs."

LOL

#26 | Posted by snoofy at 2025-05-04 09:35 PM

"LOL
#26 | Posted by snoofy"

Prior to the beaker washers killing 7M people globally through their incompetence, Trump had created 350,000 new manufacturing jobs in the US. For every new manufacturing jobs that is created, between 2.2-2.7 support jobs are created. The Kenyan posing as president and the Democrats laughed at the idea that jobs could be brought back - until Trump did exactly that. So much so, that the Democrats were running on doing the exact same thing - it is just that none of their policies actually do this. Any jobs created under Biden went to illegal and legal immigrants with native US employment decreasing under their reign of terror. No amount of MSM lying and cheerleading could push Kamala over the line as people lived under both sets of policies and they embraced Trump.
