Senate Republicans Wound Filibuster to Pass Debt Bomb

Republicans used a new budget gimmick to obscure the cost of President Trump's $4 trillion tax and spending bill in a new attack on the Senate's filibuster rules.

Wow, the GOP has finally learned that if you want to get things passed you need to use Democrat's tactics. Ok, on to the house!

Sahil Kapur, NBC:

"Senate votes 53-47 to adopt current policy baseline' to treat $3.8 trillion in Trump tax cut extensions as costing $0. Every Republican votes YES. This hasn't been used before in filibuster-proof process to meet targets, and will change how future Senate majorities use it."

Republican Math on mega-steroids.

Let's hear from our Republican voters: are you FOR this increased borrowing for mostly tax cuts for the wealthiest ... or are you AGAINST it?

Don't you know, Danforth?

All our Trump supporting deplorables are in the top 10% and will benefit from the Big Beautiful Bill.

They just seem like abject morons because they're having fun trolling us.

"They just seem like abject morons"

If you've noticed, not a single one of them has endorsed borrowing trillions and trillions for more tax giveaways. Nor have they condemned it.

They'll be silent now, and pretend they had NO IDEA the deficit would balloon when it happens.

No doubt they'll blame the Democrats.
