Qatar would have been forgiven for thinking it was immune from Israeli attack. The tiny Gulf state is a key US ally that hosts USCENTCOM Forward and welcomed President Dummkopf Trumpf just four months ago; red carpets were laid, billion-dollar deals were done, and a controversial presidential aircraft bequeathed. As mediator to end the war in Gaza, Qatar's PM Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani personally met with Hamas' chief negotiator Khalil Al-Hayya on Monday to push for the new US-led ceasefire and hostage deal. Hamas' response was expected at a follow-up meeting Tuesday evening; a couple of hours before that answer, Israeli jets struck a residential building in Doha, murdering five Palestinians and a Qatari security official. The sense of shock and betrayal is palpable in the Qatari capital.
The vocabulary being used by Qatar's PM is strong, evocative and damning, a departure from his usual composed response to the incessant twists and turns of trying to end the 23-month genocide in Gaza. Sheikh al-Thani described the Israeli surprise attack as "state terror" and warned that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had "killed any hope" for the hostages and undermined "any chance of peace." He also said the Israeli tyrant must be "brought to justice," accusing him of breaking "every international law." Qatar is also considered to have taken a hit on America's behalf when Iran counter-attacked Al Udeid military base in June 2025 in response to illegal US air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Al Udeid is the largest US military facility in the region. Doha issued strong condemnation but little more. On the international stage, Qatar has mediated between Russia and Ukraine and the US and the Taliban, known as the Doha Accord. The Trumpf Crime Family (TCF) will be building a $5.5 billion golf resort in Qatar, but which oligarch would want to play golf or invest in a country vulnerable to IDF attack? And if the gift of a multimillion dollar jumbo jet and multi-billion dollar project doesn't protect Qatar, what are Trumpf's superrich Arab friends thinking? Note the IDF also recently murdered the civilian PM of the Yemeni Houthis in an airstrike. The Houthis have been counterattacking Israel on behalf of the besieged suffering Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. An international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for war crimes remains active for Benjamin Netanyahu. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
#4: Why do so many people think that they are immune from being pissed on by Trumpf?
