Former Vice President Kamala Harris has written in her forthcoming memoir that she considered former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as the top choice to be her running mate in her 2024 presidential campaign, according to excerpts of the book obtained by The Atlantic. But, she wrote, she decided that it would be too risky to have a gay man alongside her as a Black woman on the ballot, given how voters might react, according to the excerpts in The Atlantic. "We were already asking a lot of America: to accept a woman, a Black woman, a Black woman married to a Jewish man. Part of me wanted to say, Screw it, let's just do it. But knowing what was at stake, it was too big of a risk. And I think Pete also knew that -- to our mutual sadness," Harris wrote in her memoir, "107 Days," according to The Atlantic. Kamala Harris picked a gun-owning, animal-loving WASP, a man who was a successful governor and congressman, a retired Minnesota Army Natl Guard SGM, and high school football coach to be her VPOTUS running mate. He had no crypto-currency portfolio (or any Wall Street investments for that matter). Tim Walz strolled right off of a Norman Rockwell Americana Main Street painting to be the 2024 VPOTUS candidate.
The 2024 Democrats didn't lose the election because of racism, misogyny, or homophobia. The 2020 Biden/Harris ticket won 81,283,501 votes. The Kamala Harris campaign stated on 6 Aug 2024 that she opposed an arms embargo on the Pariah State which was (and is) decimating the Palestinian population in Gaza. Progressives care about policy. The 2024 Harris/Walz ticket won 75,017,613 votes, losing 6,265,888 supporters they had in 2020 because of their unqualified support for Israel.
Don't believe me? Fine. Ask Peter Beinart, film director Michael Moore, any of the dozens of antiwar groups in the US, or this young lady who was a White House insider and left the Democratic Party: www.washingtonian.com
Kamala Harris' book and her feeble excuses, scapegoating, and recriminations belong in a dumpster fire.
