Sexton: Plan by NC Repubs to Rig US Congress Picks Up Steam

The honorables in Raleigh, a group of Republicans who've already drawn themselves nearly insurmountable majorities in what's essentially a moderate state, are threatening to rush headlong into a new round of Congressional redistricting to tilt the scales further.

Stop worrying about NC. You arent going to turn it blue. Too many country folks here.

And no, you cant move here. Keep your progressive ass wherever you are. We don't want you here.

Signed,

NC residents not in Asheville, Cary or Durham.

- Asheville, Cary or Durham.

maybe the best cities in the state

and in a usually near 50-50 moderate state

meaning that at least some swing voters will be appalled at the GOP rigging

Our swing voters are conservative in nature. That's why we are a red state.

Your state is neither a red state or a blue state. It's a purple one. Just sayin

@#3 ... Our swing voters are conservative in nature. That's why we are a red state. ...

If that is truly the case, then why are NC Republicans plotting to rig the vote in their favor?

He just lives in a state of confusion most of the time from I can see.

" He just lives in a state of confusion most of the time"

Ask him, if Republicans get the majority of statewide votes in NC, they should control the government.

When I asked, he accused me of a "gotcha" question.

If NC were a red state we wouldn't have Democrat Governor or have all of our major cities run by Democrats. We also wouldn't have had 5 or 6 Republican gerrymandering attempts in the last 15 years.
