Trump's Lightbulb Moment: America Needs Europe after All

The U.S. is even looking to Ukraine to help its operations against Iran -- as Trump rages at Starmer and Snchez for refusing to back his war.

... Donald Trump's German grandparents may have known the word for what some European officials now feel, as they watch him complain that America's traditional allies have let him down: Schadenfreude.

Having spent a year criticizing, insulting and threatening European leaders, Trump now sees the value of having friends in strategically important places -- if they have military assets he can use, anyway.

The U.S-Israel war against Iran would have been a lot easier in its opening days if British Prime Minister Keir Starmer hadn't denied American bombers permission to take off from U.K. airbases, Trump complained this week.

Starmer, however, is standing his ground, refusing to authorize anything more than "defensive" operations from Royal Air Force facilities in the U.K. and overseas.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Snchez is also playing hardball with Trump, condemning what he regards as a law-breaking operation in the Middle East and similarly refusing to let American planes take off from airfields under his control. Snchez incurred Trump's rage as a result.

And French President Emmanuel Macron " ever the critical friend " called the Iran war dangerous, warning it doesn't comply with international law and couldn't be supported. ...

Oh, he won't change his core principles. As soon as this need is over he will be back to the his old bullying ways.

His core principles has always been "What can you do for me?"

The sarcasm falls very flat but I guess liberals can't get out of the way of their own ineptness. Trump has been calling on EU to help with the Russia situation since the war began. Trump has been calling on the EU to help find identify better drug prices for everyone. Trump has been working with the EU on many things.

But, we all know that liberals have to make a point using sarcasm or parody because they can't make good arguments. What Trump hasn't done is blindly follow along with and/or bow down to the EU for everything. Liberals don't know any other way than to be followers so it isn't really their fault, it's just how their ideologies intersect reality.

Also, why do liberals shut up so quickly when the topic of EU comes up where they are doing things in a conservative way like immigration laws? Many EU countries have a lot of things they do that don't meet the liberal agenda but when that comes up...crickets. The hypocrisy is palpable. As I always say, liberals could run this country if they could just get out of their own way.

Irony is great. Z and the other European leaders will make Der Dotard crawl to them to gain their support. Trump has been Vlads patsy for years and now the little big man is selling out US forces to the Iranian military, giving targets to the Islamic republic. Russia cannot otherwise help its arms supplier Iran and Ukraine cannot give drones because those weapons are needed for homeland defense. With no significant support from any other country the US military is a bit over extended.

The only positive in this mess is that munitions factories in this country are cranking up production like that not seen in many decades. And next up: Cuba ...

Europe needs the US to foot its defense bills so they can waste all their money on social programs that the left then points to and whines *why can't we have what they have" like the little children they are
