The result comes amid a string of special election victories for Democrats that suggests a difficult political environment for the GOP heading into November's midterms.

With elections in Georgia and Wisconsin Tuesday, Democrats continued to overperform, which the party started in 2025 when it regularly improved on its margins compared to the presidential race in 2024. n.pr/4dBSaJy[image or embed]

It's not nice to fool Mother Voters.... perhaps they've had enough of this white nationalist authoritarian BS.

I wish New Yorkers and Californians would leave Wisconsinites.

Alone.

Visitor is sad that the voters of Wisconsin made the decision. Guess the voters got tired of the conservative domination that Snotty Scottie engineered.

- the voters of Wisconsin

And Republicans are now focused on preventing voters from passing state initiatives into Law... as those laws tend to help voters rather then helping the Republicans' Billionaire Bosses.

That's where a ton of their Fall Election money is going.

I am not sure this is the takeaway as Lazar was unaffiliated.

That's where a ton of their Fall Election money is going.

There was only $9M spent by both candidates in this election, unlike 2023's $100M.

Dems winning across the country...

"Democrats are experiencing a significant winning streak in special elections and local races across the U.S. in early 2026, overperforming 2024 presidential margins by an average of 11%"13%.

Key victories include flipping legislative seats, winning major state supreme court, and mayoral races in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, indicating strong momentum."

... and I said money spent for a specific purpose; opposing direct democracy in voter initiatives, not general spending... is this thing even on?

maybe I need a Chinese translator?

#5 Yeah, you'd think they would learn to give the voters what they want, but nope. Evidently winning that way is no fun.

It's not as profitable as cashing in on cash and perks from wealthy interests for sure. Especially considering the Golden Parachutes from corporations (now Super Citizens legally) that get them so much more than what voters have to offer.

Campaign Finance Reform is Job One; all the other jobs can then be werked on.

#7 That amount was spent by Elon Musk. He tried to buy the seat and lost, tipping the court to a 5-4 liberal majority. That election helped undo the conservative hold engineered by Scott Walker. The maps were redrawn and abortion was determined to be legal up to 22 weeks of pregnancy.

The voters must be happy with the result as they just elected another Dem to their SC making it 6-3 until 2030.
