Trump: You Have to Be Smart and in Shape to Be an Astronaut

President Donald Trump, speaking on April 29, 2026, during a White House meeting with the Artemis crew, commented on the physical and intellectual demands of becoming an astronaut while addressing the successful space mission involving four crew members. His remarks came as he praised the astronauts' achievement and discussed the broader future of U.S. space exploration.

I wish I could disagree.

But the Pres Trump degradation of those courageous and brave astronauts by his attempted equivalence to them cheapened their highly-staged visit to the Oval Office.

Those astronauts deserved and earned better than what they were subject to.

Perhaps they would have been treated better if they had presented Pres Trump with some manner of a gold medal or something ....

Trump must really be a king, because in any no-nonsense democratic repuublic he would have been thrown out long ago to mercifully receive psychiatric treatment.
