Just a little anecdotal add...

We did a nature trail yesterday and saw a woolly bear caterpillar (Isabella Tiger Moth). They used to be everywhere in weather like this and this was the first one I have seen in over a decade spending time on hikes and in the woods in general. I can't tell you the last time I seen the moth that it morphs into.

There are a lot of other examples when we started talking about it. Praying Mantis are another example. All the talk of decline in insects is spot on at least anecdotally. Just saying.
