Besides teens, IDF veterans formed an organization to spread the word about the war crimes, prisoner abuse, and atrocities they have witnessed against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. One of the worst IDF crimes is using Palestinians as human shields: www.breakingthesilence.org.il

NPR this morning reported that BiBi has only his war to hold his political position. If/when the hostilities end, he will be back in court to face criminal charges. Meanwhile, the IDF reports its soldiers are weary from the constant deployment and battles. As for the Palestinians, they should be seen like the Viet Cong. As Captain Willard stated in Apocalypse Now:

"Charlie had only two ways home: death, or victory."

Gaza may become the Riviera of the Middle East, but the Arab States are who will build it. The IDF will never get the Palestinians out of Gaza. Never. The wealth of the Arab States and the hatred of the Israelis by the Arab population will not countenance such an outcome...

"Meanwhile, the IDF reports its soldiers are weary from the constant deployment and battles."

Hannibal Directive will do that to a drafted civilian role-playing as a hardened killer.

Catdog: Your comments hit it perfectly. I also liken the Palestinian muqawama (Arabic for resistance) to the Apaches, the Nez Pierce, or the Sioux of 19th-century America. Back then the enemy was called 'savages' and 'Redskins'-- today the enemy is slandered as 'terrorists.' Trumpf even referred to Chuck Schumer as "Hamas" before the disastrous GOP budget was passed.

The antiwar movement is slowly growing in Israel. More Israeli teens are refusing induction into the IDF on moral grounds, as opposed to the Haredim who were religiously excused from the IDF until recently: www.cbc.ca

Netanyahu didn't create the genocidal racism in Israel, the genocidal racism in Israel created Netanyahu.

And when Bibi lost his older brother Yoni in the famous 1976 "Raid on Entebbe," he became further full of hatred and bitterness. Yoni was a philosophical, charismatic and handsome officer in the IDF. He was the only Israeli casualty in that mission to free hostages that were hijacked to Uganda: en.wikipedia.org
