Intercepted call of Iranian officials downplays damage of U.S. attack www.msn.com
... The United States obtained intercepted communication between senior Iranian officials discussing this month's military strikes on Iran's nuclear program and remarking that the attack was less devastating than they had expected, said four people familiar with the classified intelligence circulating within the U.S. government. Yeah, for Pres Trump to say, hours after the bombing raid, that Iran's nuclear program had been obliterated, was pure and utter nonsense, based upon nothing more than his own ego.
And for Sec of Defense Hegseth to repeat that nonsense, is even more nonsensical.
But Sec Hegseth seems to have an excuse for sucking up to Pres Trump, his position seems to be more than a bit precarious.
But why did Pres Trump lie to Americans?
