The biggest controversy of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics came to a head on Thursday morning, as Ukraine's Vladyslav Heraskevych was banned from competing. Heraskevych, who was his country's flagbearer at the opening ceremony, wished to compete in the men's skeleton while wearing a special remebrance helmet featuring artwork depicting Ukrainian athletes killed during the Russian invasion. |
