From either of our DIA HQs or the Pentagon, I would on occasion meet with my counterparts at CIA or NSA HQ.
I preferred the closer CIA campus because the outdoor smoking area in the center was another friendly network. I ran into someone I worked with in the Balkans from years ago and we chatted it up out there.
NSA HQ was a longer drive and their security protocols were tighter than CIA, so that was less pleasant for me.
Nevertheless, I was able to come back from both HQs having learned something and happy I was able to offer an insight or two on an issue.
Under today's Epstein Administration, I would probably learn very little from my counterparts and they would be disinclined to learn anything from me.
