According to Iranian state-linked media, lawmakers have backed a plan to introduce tolls for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz - the narrow corridor through which roughly a fifth of global oil supply flows. The proposal also includes a provision to block transit by ships associated with the United States and Israel.
