CNN writes about the The Searle Freedom Trust, a foundation created by the former chairman of the G.D. Searle pharmaceutical company which has spent more than $200 million in the past decade to mostly right aligned initiatives. "While several of its top beneficiaries are think tanks that have focused on economic policy and loosening government regulations, others have worked to weaken child labor laws, advocate for stricter voting rules, gut affirmative action policies, and push climate change denial," CNN reports. Per the founder, the The Searle Freedom Trust must close down in 2025 and empty its coffers.
