A federal judge blocked the deportation of Badar Khan Suri, a Georgetown post-graduate student. His lawyer claimed he is being punished "because of the Palestinian heritage of his wife (a US citizen) and because the government suspects Suri and his wife oppose US foreign policy toward Israel." USDJ Patricia Tolliver Giles said Suri "shall not be removed from the US unless and until the Court issues a contrary order." The graduate student was surrounded and detained by masked DHS agents as he was returning to his home in Rosslyn, VA where he lives with his wife Mapheze Saleh and their three children: www.cbsnews.com

This case parallels Mahmoud Khalil (30), a Columbia University student and green card holder who was involved in the 2024 pro-Palestinian campus protests. An Algerian national who was born in Syria to Palestinian parents, Khalil was arrested in front of his wife, who was eight-months pregnant at the time. Welcome to the Fourth Reich: pointofview.net
