Three people were killed and five wounded after a fight broke out during an event described as a "concert/car show" at El Camaron Gigante, a steak and seafood restaurant in Glendale, AZ, ten miles northwest of Phoenix. Around 300 people were in attendance at the outdoor venue when a dispute between two groups led to a firefight. No arrests have been made and police are searching for suspects. In an average year, 1,290 people die and 2,125 are wounded by guns in Arizona. In 2022, 48,000 Americans were killed by firearm violence. These are wartime casualty figures. To save lives, state governors might wish to deploy US Army National Guard medics to the hotspots of mass shootings depicted below to triage victims of these urban skirmishes. |
